COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD ARE IMPOSING RESTRICTIONS ON INTERNET USE!  NOT JUST CHINA !  FRANCE, ITALY, AUSTRALIA, GERMANY, among others.
In GOOGLE'S letter to Alex Jones, they state that he cannot sell any items on the Google Network which is "ANTI" and/or "VIOLENT" that has anything to do with "protected groups".  Theoretically, this would ban ANYTHING anti, or against/in opposition to, anything (abortion, gov't spending, etc) or advocating anything violent against anyone else (taliban, jews, muslims, whatever) that falls into a "protected group." 
 
While this appears quite "politically correct" on the surface, the term "protected group" is related to the application of EMPLOYMENT LAWS!  "A protected group member is an individual who falls within a group that is qualified for protection under equal employment laws." 
 
Here is the complete definition from http://definitions.uslegal.com/p/protected-group-member/ :  "A protected group member is an individual who falls within a group that is qualified for protection under equal employment laws. Federal law protects employees from discrimination or harassment based on sex, race, age, disability, color, creed, national origin, or religion. Employer policies may also protect employees from harassment or discrimination based on sexual orientation or marital status.

A single act of discrimination may be based on more than one protected class status. For example, discrimination based on anti-Semitism may relate to religion, national origin, or both; discrimination against a pregnant woman might be based on sex, marital status, or both. Many state laws, which vary by state, also provide protection against harassment and discrimination to certain protected groups." 

Obviously, these "protected groups" are actually "employees" of some employer, who are "protected from discrimination or harassment based on sex, race, age, disability, color, creed, national origin, or religion."  Who is excluded from this discrimination prohibition - NO ONE!  Everyone has a "sex", a "race", an "age", "color", a "creed", a "national origin", and a "religion ( even an atheist would be protected).  And, any good Progressive/Liberal lawyer could argue over "disabilities"; say "physical or mental" (which are the ones most often associated with these laws), or "cultural" (redneck, city slicker), or "sterotyped" (dumb blonde, couch potato).   The sky's the limit for any creative thinker!

But, GOOGLE is NOT PROTECTING EMPLOYEES!  They're imposing restrictions on members of the general public selling items to the general public.  Not exactly "employment" related. 

This is just one more incidence where "political correctness" is using terms specific to one area of concern to bring conformity to an agenda to restrict the rights and freedoms of individuals.
